This easy 2-ingredient martini is packed with great pineapple flavor!

My pineapple martini is a flavorful vodka co*cktail that really can pack in a ton of pineapple flavor! It's deliciously fruity and can be customized to your preferred level of sweetness!

Mix up just the 2 base ingredients (vodka and pineapple juice) or get your bartender skills going and add some splashes of liqueur, bitters, or lemon juice!

🍹 Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 2 ounces Vodka (or pineapple vodka)
  • 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • Lime Wedge (optional garnish)

Ingredient Notes

  • Reduce the pineapple juice to 1 ½ ounces, then add a ½ ounce of lemon juice and a ¼ ounce of simple syrup for a slightly sweeter drink accented with citrus.
  • Freshly squeezed pineapple or muddled pineapple makes a world of difference in your resulting martini!
  • A splash of tiki bitters or pineapple liqueur are also tasty additions!

*Be sure to see the free printable recipe card below for ingredients, exact amounts & instructions with tips!*

🍸 Instructions

  1. Fill. Add 1-inch ice cubes to your co*cktail shaker, filling the shaker about ⅔rds full.
  2. Add. Pour in 2 ounces of vodka, then add 2 ounces of pineapple juice.
  3. Shake. Shake for 30 seconds to chill your martini.
  4. Serve. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lime wedge if desired. Enjoy!

🥂 Pitcher & Party Size

I have had success in making this into a pitcher drink. Make sure to either refrigerate immediately to prevent the ice from melting and diluting your co*cktails - or mix, refrigerate, and serve over ice.

  • A pitcher will typically hold 6 martinis.
  • You will need a large glass pitcher.
  • Add ingredients with ice and stir, then add a few lime wedges.
  • Refrigerate until needed.

FAQs

What to add to a martini to make it taste better? ›

ADD LEMON INSTEAD OF OLIVES.

While olives may have the iconic martini look, they're often served at room temperature and can therefore heat up your drink—a big no-no. Serve your drink cold with an expressed lemon peel for top-notch taste.

What makes a great martini? ›

A classic martini, or a wet martini, is when you prefer an equal ratio of gin and dry vermouth. A “perfect” martini on the other hand is made with equal parts dry and sweet vermouth and then mixed with vodka or gin.

What is the two martini rule? ›

Once you have consumed two, you must move on to a soft drink, such as wine or a gin and tonic. The reasons for this are obvious and I try to adhere to this rule at home. The rule is defended most enduringly (and elegantly) at Duke's Bar in Central London, where years of experience … Continue reading.

What is the best martini for beginners? ›

What is a good martini for beginners? The classic martini is one of the best martinis and co*cktails for beginners. The classic martini calls for a simple mix of vermouth and gin, garnished with a lemon twist or green olives. The V-shaped glass it's poured into and served in is just as classic as the drink itself.

What enhances pineapple Flavour? ›

"A little bit of salt helps intensifies the sweet flavor." If you're not a fan of salted fruit, high heat also inactivates bromelain, so baking or grilling pineapple will prevent that tingling sensation (and tastes amazing in general).

What Flavour compliments pineapple? ›

Pineapple: Pairs well with other tropical fruits, banana, basil, caramel, chile pepper, cilantro, cinnamon, coconut, ginger, lime, macadamia, mango, orange, pepper, raspberry, rosemary, strawberry, and tamarind.

How to sweeten a bland pineapple? ›

Grilling pineapple slices or spears is an excellent way to bring out the natural sugar in a pineapple and reduce the acidic taste of the fruit. Grill it until dark marks appear on the fruit (caramelization) and it is heated through.

How do you make a martini more palatable? ›

Sweet Vermouths

I also recommend that people who are new to drinking martinis start with a sweet vermouth rather than a dry one. This can help take the edge off the drink and make it far more palatable, without detracting from the overall sensory experience and pleasure of a martini.

How do you make a martini not taste like alcohol? ›

Adding a plastic sword hilt-deep in garlic-stuffed olives is a great way to mask any hint of alcohol flavor in your martini, and may make for a nice snack, but if you're trying to enjoy a drink, skip the olives.

Why don't my dirty martinis taste good? ›

It's almost easier to make a bad dirty martini than it is to make a great one. Adding that touch of olive brine can make the co*cktail too salty or impart the stale, musty taste of olives bottled during the last century. Your dirty martini can also suffer from being the wrong temperature, too boozy, or out of balance.

What is the formula for a dirty martini? ›

Dirty Martini

Calls for 3 ½ ounces gin or vodka, ½ ounce dry vermouth, and ½ ounce olive brine. Serve stirred, garnished with olives.
