Merchant Locations - Age of War Conan Exiles Update | Gam... (2024)

The Age of War - Chapter 2 update for Conan Exiles introduced some changes for thrall merchants and traders in the game. There are no longer any caravan traders available, both in the Exiled Lands and on the Isle of Siptah. Instead, Mek-kamosesSpire (Exiled Lands) has been updated to provide a new way for you to purchase thralls, Ancient Obolus coins, and other valuable materials. There’s also the Flotsam settlement in the far northeast of the Exiled Lands map, where you can find some slaver merchants that sell thralls. On this page, we’ll cover all the merchant locations and how to trade with them. We’ll also cover the bartering materials you need to obtain thralls and materials.

Mek-kamoses’ Spire is changed in the Age of War Chapter 2 update, but you can still find useful merchants there.

Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah Caravan Traders

The first thing to note about merchants as of the Age of War Chapter 2 update is that you can no longer find them as caravan traders. This applies to both the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, so as of this update, there are no merchants available on the Isle of Siptah. There are still alternatives for the Exiled Lands map, however, so read on if you’re playing on that map.

The only exception to there being no merchants on the Isle of Siptah applies to the Camp of the Castaways, located in the northernmost part of the Isle of Siptah, on the small island just north of the main island. However, you won’t be able to purchase thralls or legendary weapons from the merchants there, only basic drink and food items.

Merchant Locations - Thralls and Materials

The caravan traders used to provide a reliable way of getting thralls and legendary weapons, so without them you’ll have to resort to the old-fashioned methods of truncheoning thralls in the wilderness and looting legendary weapons from dungeons, bosses, and treasure chests, at least on the Isle of Siptah.

Mek-kamoses’ Spire - Ancient Obolus Coins in the Exiled Lands

The good news for those playing on the Exiled Lands map is that there are now alternative ways for you to purchase thralls and legendary weapons. The main method involves the Mek-kamoses’ Spire, located in the desert region near the center of the map, as shown in the screenshot below. For reference, you’ll find it northeast of The Unnamed City, or just southeast of New Asagarth. If you’re a new player, you’re more likely to find it by heading almost directly north from The Summoning Place and keeping going after crossing the river.

Once you’re at Mek-kamoses’ Spire, you’ll notice that Mek-kamoses himself is no longer there, at least not in his old form. Instead, you’ll now find him as a head inside a basket, located between two merchants known as Khitan Exiled Traders. Both of these merchants provide the same things in the form of valuable materials and resources, such as Ancient Obolus coins, Gold and Silver coins, Alchemical Base, Steelfire, Demon Blood, and golem parts.

Where to Get Blood Crystals and the Severed Head of Kurak

The way that these merchants function means that you need to exchange either 15 Blood Crystals or the Severed Head of Kurak with them for an Ophidian Magi’s Cache. The cache will then be present in your inventory, and you can use it to reveal the contents. If you need help finding Blood Crystals, be sure to check our How to Get Blood Crystals in Conan Exiles page.

For the Severed Head of Kurak, all you need to do is enter the dungeon on the platform just to the right of the merchants by looking down and interacting with it when you see the “Transportory Stone” option pop up. You’ll have to fight through different enemies within the dungeon until you finally reach Kurak, then kill them to take the head and bring it back to the merchants at Mek-kamoses’ Spire.

Thrall Merchants, Slave Traders, Weapons and Tools Traders

Aside from the two main merchants at Mek-kamoses’ Spire in the form of the Khitan Exiled Traders, you’ll also find a slave trader, weapon trader, Black Blood tool trader, and a basic supplies trader. You can purchase many of the same named thralls and legendary weapons from these as you used to be able to from the caravan traders, but the thralls now cost 50 Ancient Obolus each, and the legendary weapons cost 15 Ancient Obolus each.

You can purchase basic supplies using 5 Ancient Obolus for stacks of 500 - 1,000. The supplies on offer won’t always be the same, and the offerings will change every two hours, so you’ll need to check back to see if the merchants have anything that you can make use of. It’s also important to note that the tools trader only offers three types of tools: Black Blood Hatchet, Black BLood Pick, and Black Blood Sickle.

Black Blood Tools Trader

You can only purchase three main Black Blood tools from this trader, consisting of the hatchet, pick-axe, and sickle. For whatever reason you can’t currently purchase the black blood skinning knife from this trader, so we hope that’s patched in for a future update. Once again, the exact tool on offer will be different for each player, and it refreshes every one hour.

  • Black Blood Pick
  • Black Blood Sickle

Supplies / Materials Trader

This trader can provide you with high quantities of specific materials such as different types of ingots, or raw resources that you might otherwise acquire from mining or farming enemies. You can get 500 or 1,000 for each stack depending on the rarity, and each stack costs 5 Ancient Obolus coins.

Master Carver Huang

The final thing to note about the updated version of Mek-kamoses’ Spire is the presence of Master Carver Huang. Yes, he’s still here and you can still learn the Golem Constructor skill from him. You can also purchase new golem parts from him in exchange for 200 Blood Crystals each.
